It's a 1/4 " plasma cutter, period.
This is a decent little cutter, but my experience has been exactly the same as a few others: It cuts 3/8" into the wall. It cuts not 1/2" as stated so I'm sending it back. A friend told me I was crazy for thinking a $199 machine could cut 1/2 inch; looks like he's right. If I only needed it for 1/4" I'd skip it. Anything larger than 1/4" gets tiring. I don't make boring. Going back for 50A/240V block.
