I never thought that I would need a voltage converter. I mean, most electronics these days support universal voltage, right? Well, Xbox One apparently not. My roommate brought his Xbox One from Europe and it couldn't work properly here. After some research I think we need a transformer. Of course there are cheaper options, but for an electrician quality, stability and durability always come first. So we went with this one as it seems to have a long history of reputation and a reasonable price. The product came with a nice compact look. It's a bit heavy, but we still don't throw it away. Some reviews have complained about the smell but I guess it's not that bad, why wear a transformer around your face? It was pretty easy to work with, dial 110v on the back, plug it in, plug your xbox into a 220v universal outlet, turn on the transformer, turn on your xbox AND IT WORKS ! To date we have been using it for 3 months already and it has not let us down once. We also used it occasionally for my little blender from China (rated 250w) and it worked great too. Pay attention to the recommended wattage, although a 500w transformer doesn't mean it can handle a 500w device as the electronics tend to over voltage when switched on. A little common sense from an engineering student :) There are spare fuses so you have a second (and third) chance. Overall I would recommend this product.
