Review on 🚗 Enhanced Performance and Durability with Purolator L15839 Premium Cartridge Oil Filter by Steve Guillen

A small check valve/orifice is fitted halfway to the top of this filter element. The part allows more oil flow when starting the engine because the oil is thicker and doesn't flow as easily. When removing the filter when changing the oil, there was no small limiter. I suspect the chip is in the motor. I have not seen other items from different manufacturers using the same oil flow modulation device. None of the metal-cased items such as B. spin-on elements appear to use a micro-media that filters finer particles (5 microns) much more efficiently with less pressure drop. The filter looks like cheap crepe paper with the end caps glued on.
