After trying this automotive filter, my engine became clogged and caused a costly repair. The only pro was that it was easy to install. However, the cons outweighed this small benefit. I strongly advise avoiding this replacement part at all costs.

The name speaks for itself. Stick to OEM AC Delco filters, at least you know you're getting a German made Hengst GmbH filter!

A small check valve/orifice is fitted halfway to the top of this filter element. The part allows more oil flow when starting the engine because the oil is thicker and doesn't flow as easily. When removing the filter when changing the oil, there was no small limiter. I suspect the chip is in the motor.
