We have an outdoor sewage system that gets dirty in the fall and clogs with leaves and debris. I tried to buy a drainage protector but it didn't help as the one I got is dome shaped and dangerous and an eyesore. However, this protection has helped keep leaves and debris from clogging the drain. But I still wanted something better and I found this rubber drainage mat. I placed them outside as soon as I received them and they were perfect. There is no longer a risk of tripping. No more eyesore. They kept the outside drain from clogging with leaves and debris. A bit of dirt can still get in, so I put a window screen under this rug. This small addition helped prevent small debris from entering the sewer. I am happy with it because it has withstood the harsh winter and snow. Not to mention that it's been exposed to direct sunlight, extreme heat and humidity this summer. There are no cracks or signs of wear. Squirrels or chipmunks haven't gnawed on him yet. I have traps for these little bugs.
