The original cover is not suitable for this build. Ease of installation. The mirror is not as hard as the original. Edit: After a few months of use, I've decided to change my rating of this mirror to 1 star. The first issue I encountered was how loosely the glass sits on the frame. Every time it rains and I need to remove water or water stains from the mirror, the mirror moves without touching it. I've never had this problem with an OEM mirror. I constantly have to adjust the mirror so that everything is visible. The second issue I've had so far has been how easy it is to scratch glass compared to OEMs. I have used a microfiber cloth made to clean glass, mirrors etc and now there are many scratches that are always visible. Another issue I had is that the paintable cap is smaller than the OEM one. After installing the mirror, I tried to put on a regular cover, it didn't fit at all. The lid was in perfect condition and still fits the old build perfectly. Ever since I bought it I've had to put in an old ball joint and glass to really get a good mirror. Do not buy this set!
