The first few days I had problems with this lamp. I had to put the lamp at a right angle or it wouldn't come on. It kept flickering and changing its brightness on its own. The clamp is cheap and doesn't hold up very well unless it's on a table top or in an open tank. I have white tree frogs so I can't leave it open - they are tree frogs. So I had to install a fixture to properly direct its light due to a crappy clip and weak lamp arm. The first bulb I used blew out in a week, the second in two, and now the bulb is completely dead. I've tried tilting the wires or the lamp head itself as usual and nothing seems to work. Now my poor frogs won't have a UV until I get another one in the mail. piece of trash.
