This air intake is not too loud, which is a good thing (the quieter the better). It seems to beef up the car a bit in terms of acceleration. Did a few runs at 5-60 mph with the following results: With K&N air intake installed, 9.5 seconds average (2 runs, 1 each direction, mostly flat ground as far as I can tell, with a nearly full tank and just me in the car [210 pounds]) In stock it runs 10.5 seconds. Believe me, that's a pretty significant improvement. I have 5 manual transmissions. I think the intake smoothly gives more power everywhere, while the PRM Jetstream intake lets you feel (and hear) the Vtec kick in. The PRM was much more noticeable in the power increase when the engine was running on Vtec - it was like a little turbo boost when the engine was on Vtec. The PRM intake is no longer owned as it was very noisy when the engine was running at Vtec. Installing the kit is more difficult than it should be in my opinion. I did not replace the crankcase ventilation and radiator lines, I just bought a 2 foot long 3/8 ID hose and routed it from the metal crankcase ventilation tube to the K&N intake manifold. Had to purchase a fitting to match: 1/4 NPT, 3/8 rivet elbow, black nylon from US Plastics. Tempo. the rating of these 2 parts is -50->275 or so. I only rode it for about 30 minutes. I hope you find this review helpful.
