The size of this jacket is as expected, it is very light - it is very easy to put in a backpack or travel bag. What threw it into a star is the warmth (or lack of it), it really is a lightweight spring/fall jacket, not a down jacket for 'warmth' as the product description suggests. Our kid got along great with it in 50 degrees, but anything colder than 40 degrees required a warmer jacket. The logo is a bit annoying too, with bright white writing along the zipper line. But our son loves that it's super light, easy to pack in any bag he takes to school, and the price is certainly reasonable. As long as you don't expect it to behave like a real winter/warm down jacket and is suitable for milder weather, this is a good option.
