Good for digging grooves. We have a chair cane shop and the grooves need cleaning from time to time. Sometimes when the customer cannot afford the weaving, it is necessary to cut channels to turn the chair into a machine cane. This will cut a groove where the holes are so a spline can be used instead of hand weaving. The only drawback for us is that the glue melts when hot and clogs the cut edge of car seats. In general, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. When used on grooves, the head will collect adhesive and be difficult to remove. We soak it briefly in vinegar to soften the glue and then brush it.
