How floppy? fits hand tools

To be honest I am very new to working with my machine and the necessary tools so please bear with my relative ignorance but are they quite flexible? For example, they simply tip to one side or the other when sitting on a wrench. I mean, I totally understand the purpose and ease of use, but I guess I just assumed they wouldn't give in anytime soon after one side or the other, figured they'd stay put a little better. Absolutely flexible! *shrugs*
