These door handles are very nice and feel solid. The problem we had was that we ordered them for our whole house and half of them were defective. We sent back some of the privacy knobs and one of the key knobs because the locking mechanism creaked inside and made a loud noise. In addition, the rotation of the handles was not smooth. We like the ones we have left, but we hope they don't dry up over time. The instructions for changing the direction of the handle are brief - you need to make sure the notch on the inside lines up with the hole on the handle.
