Rocking chair lift

I bought these to raise my father's chair so he could get up more easily. The chair is on the carpet. I was having a bit of trouble getting all four legs in the right place with the (rocking) chair and worried it would slide off, so I laid it on its side and taped the attachments securely to the chair legs. (pivots) the chair so that they stay roughly where they should be. After doing this, the chair sits securely on the risers. (I also glued 2 risers together). I think a piece of stationery furniture will work fine without rework, but this product has worked well for my purpose so far.
