Review on 🔧 Gates Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump - TCKWP277A by Dave Johnson

This Gates timing belt kit was a great alternative to dealer parts. This kit was installed on a 1998 Subaru Forester L with a 2.5L DOHC Phase 1 engine. All parts fit like original without any problems. The markings on the timing belt itself were very clear and easy to find. All bearings are individually wrapped to protect them from dust and dirt. The water pump looked identical in casting to the original Subaru pump that was removed from the car. The kit was packaged beautifully in its own 'parts tray' divider and was dispatched quickly as always via Revain. I recommend replacing your camshaft seals as well as the front crankshaft main oil seal while you take the car apart. These items are cheap insurance to keep oil off your new timing belt and keep your car running smoothly for miles.
