This all size ratchet (1/4, 3/8) is the industry standard for industrial use. Almost indestructible. I highly recommend, mine has never let me down. I'm pretty sure it's close to the classic Plomb (original Proto brand material) from ten years ago and hasn't changed. Black Oxide is the preferred finish for industrial use. Chrome does not chip and tools are less slippery when oil or grease gets on them. Keep tools dirty, lubricated or oiled to prevent corrosion. After long-term use, the tool will become bare steel and look gray, so it must be kept in oil, otherwise it will rust. Proto will never let you down in a critical situation if you only have 1 tool. They are very expensive in Canada, but Canadian tar sands pay the best. I recommend Proto over Snap-On simply because they are better.
