Actually couldn't avoid installing it on the valve. The product seems to be of very good quality, works as it should, but both apps are junk. The Smart Life app finally connected to the device after two hours, but when setting up the programming it was only possible to turn the valve on, it won't turn off unless done manually. , the TuyaSmart app will not pair with the device at all. If you could find a good app to turn it on and off programmatically that would be great.
