Review on πŸ”Œ VIZIO XWR100 High Definition Dual-Band Wireless Internet Router by Andres Black

100% satisfied!: Router

There was a Linksys WRT54GS with acceleration. He was at least 5 years old but we paid a lot and I thought he was still working. We have a 2 bedroom apartment and had 2 laptops, a Roku and a Samsung 3D TV. Or should I say we tried. I had to unplug and plug my Linksys router back in several times a day, and even when it worked, Netflix kept stopping and 3D streaming was almost out of the question. We thought it was a cable issue because once they came in, fiddled with a few things and it worked fine for a day or two. Then they went back to terrible intermittent and slow services. I've spent several hours researching and analyzing routers. "How to choose a router" Googled. I decided what specs I wanted (I forgot what it was as I'll be reviewing this a few months later :)) and figured it was a game whether I was going to spend $80 or $400. I just checked and found the price has dropped to $45. In any case, all routers complained about the same problems, so I made the wise decision to buy a router at the best price. I can't express how happy I am that I did this. First, it was set up in minutes. With Linksys, I had to go without a password for months because I had to spend hours on the phone with support and go through many obstacles to get it working properly. Vizio, I just connected and then entered the passwords that were written on the card. Not a single catch in the setup. Since then it has worked flawlessly. I haven't had a single break in Netflix, I've added an iPad and a few other wireless devices and they all work quickly and smoothly. So much so that I forgot I even had a router plugged in. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. And I'm even happier that I didn't spend a few hundred on something else that might work just as well or even cause me problems.
