it was either this product or a telescope like antenna. The good thing is that the cable/connector cable is long enough to try many different angles. We found something that would be impossible with a cantenna. Placing this antenna in the same spot as a decent unidirectional antenna will give it about the same signal strength, but by placing it in many different locations we've found one that gives us a signal that's more reliable and faster than using one 9dbi unidirectional antenna antenna, even looks like a light which helps to blend in :-)
