Review on πŸ”Œ Surebonder CL195F Hybrid Detail Tool: Cordless & Corded by Mark Young

Wireless means non-rechargeable.

I bought this mainly because it was supposed to be wireless. In my opinion this meant it would have an internal battery. My first clue that I was wrong should have been the marketing image that says "2 minutes of wireless usage," which should actually have a big, bold star on it because that number is so volatile. Wireless features work similarly to wired ones. Glue gun, in the sense that when you unplug the corded glue gun, you also get about 2 minutes of use due to the residual heat. That's all. Here's how it works. The gun will heat up when plugged in, and after you unplug it from the outlet or base, you can use it UNTIL IT STOPS. If the room you use it in is cold, it will NOT last 2 minutes. The gun itself is fine. The plastic is thin, there is practically no weight. It falls fairly easily when not docked. It has small fins on its sides that prevent it from lying completely on its side, but that's basically the only advantage it has. Glue sticks will also stop eating in an awkward spot and will not eat again. I've often pushed it further with my finger or stuck some other adhesive behind it, which then awkwardly sticks out of the back of the gun. Overall, I probably won't be using it as much as I was hoping.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
