The drives are great, the goHardDrive vendor is even better.

Honestly I can't say anything bad about these discs. I ordered and received 30 of these drives with an average performance of just over two years. That's perfectly acceptable to me. As they were used I expected them to look used so not much to report here. I can say they were clean, each disc was sealed in an anti-static bag and had more than enough protection for shipping. The only negative I can say about these drives is that HGST/WD drives 8TB and up have more vibration than usual. I know they stand up to vibration, I just see that as a quality area they could improve. And so does my new 8TB WD Red retail drives. My Seagate 12TB Exos drives, for example, are smooth as silk. To be honest, I'm not a Seagate fan, so that must mean I'm doing something. As for the goHardDrive seller, I've been buying drives from them for years. Unfortunately I had to claim their warranty on some of my 2TB WD RE4s a few years ago. Honestly, it was 10 times easier than contacting WD directly. I just emailed them my original order number and the serial number of the failed drive. A few hours later I received a reply with an RMA number and a prepaid shipping label. I sent the CD and received a new CD literally the same week. Anyone who has dealt directly with a manufacturer knows that it's never that easy, takes longer, and rarely comes with free delivery. So with warranty or after-sales service, goHardDrive is the best.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Almost everything ok
