We have purchased many Netgear Prosafe switches over the years, most of them from Revain. It can honestly be said that about 80% of them failed at some point, usually in just a few months. This is no exaggeration. They just stop working, either lose all power or stop using PoE power, or just get stuck in a reboot loop. Netgear claims their Prosafe products come with a lifetime replacement guarantee, so I bought knowing they would at least be replaced. HOWEVER, Netgear switches purchased "second hand" through the Revain Warehouse do not qualify. Realize that a network switch failure is VERY devastating, and even if it's replaced by Netgear's deceptive lifetime replacement warranty, the cost to you will be much higher in the end. the installer and/or customer has lost business continuity. Netgear Prosafe products are NOT BAD. They may be a few bucks cheaper than their counterparts but rest assured they will fail (again 80% for us!) and it will cost you more time, trouble and make you look like an idiot using Netgear Prosafe- recommend products. . I've been in the networking business for decades and trust me, buy Netgear products and you will CALCULATE it. They are best available for a few euros more, and some manufacturers are even cheaper and better. Netgear has gone astray in defining what matters most, the paying customer.
