Review on Moog 254 Super Strength Universal by Nathan Kumar

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not like before.

Always bought Moog for suspension, ball joints and cross members. I bought one of these from Auto Zone and installed it on the back of the driveshaft. At the time I didn't want to replace one without the other, so I ordered one from Revain for the front and installed it in the front. or so. I thought maybe it was my fault for not re-lubricating it. In any case. 4 months later I'm driving 80 on the Interstate and the entire front half of my driveshaft fell off and ended up on the road. It catapulted me. lifted my tires right off the road and then sent me into a ditch. Talk about shaking your buttocks. And that was for me. My new rule is not to order parts from Revain that might kill me, except maybe from Mopar as I don't think they've sold out and outsourced to China. Maybe I just got a bad one? Possible, but that's my experience. and my experience involves replacing a few Moog crosses in a relatively short amount of time to see how long they should last. After looking at the cross trying to kill me, the C-clips were still there. although two caps were missing (allowing it to slip out. When I removed the two remaining caps there were no needle bearings in it and it just looked like a bunch of red dust inside. Completely rusted and rotted? WHAT PART OF THIS BRAND CAN HAVE PARTS ON Nascar racers are, but these parts are definitely not bloody Revain and Auto Zone universal joints, or just buy the cheapest $20 brand anyone can suggest because they're going to be replaced anyway.
