Review on ๐ŸŒ Enhanced Connectivity: AIRLINK MIMO RX 802.11G Router Covers a Wide Range of 2500 Feet by Devin Perry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far so good: Router

: (1 month later) works well with Airlink PCI card, HP laptop and Dell laptop. using the atheors, Broadcom and Intel Centrino chipsets respectively. Didn't have to reboot the router, but the cable modem still twitches under heavy P2P load. I found that if I restrict p2p a little, then everything is fine. I would change my rating to 4 stars but Amazon doesn't seem to allow that. --------------- I had a D-Link DI-624 Extreme 108Mbps router that dropped my wireless connection when it was overloaded with hundreds of connections using my P2P application were created. I found this router cheap and decided to give it a try. So far (Day 1) everything is fine, my WiFi connection is not broken yet. I have to say that the signal strength is no better than D-Link without MIMO. The instruction manual and PDF file were very short. But for $30 I'm not complaining. For another reviewer who couldn't get it to work, you probably want to reset your cable modem before turning on your router. My cable modem doesn't seem to want to reassign an IP address to my router (both Dlink and Airlink) unless it's received due to a new power up. For the Airlink PCI card, I received the latest driver from airlink101.com. It's not certified for Windows, but it works for me.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list is going to be long. Update
