Given the lowest price for this type of gauge I wasn't expecting to get the most accurate and reliable product. They work well and are suitable for what I need them for, a very basic indoor hydroponic garden. The readings on the PH meter jump around and struggle to get a stable PH level. The EC meter is slightly more reliable, but still differs slightly from individual measurements of the same solution. So if you don't need a high precision measurement and you are happy with the approximation, these gauges are for you. It is also good to know that to calibrate the PH meter you will use distilled water and will need to mix the three separate control solutions and test each in calibration mode. Once installed, it's pretty easy to use, but setting it up is a process.
