Bought this so I could use one for myself and one for my pet's medication.The pills that I've cut in each of these units are oval pills and I've had issues with one of the units where no matter where I place it on the cutting line, it doesn't cut all the way through the pill. I tested this in the other pill cutter and it cut cleanly through without an issue. Another problem is that sometimes it'll just absolutely crush the pill if cutting it too small -- though I don't know if it's the pill or the cutter that's the issue here.In the case of Benadryl and Zyrtec, it'll cut those in half cleanly enough, but beyond that I would not recommend this unit for cutting small pills or regular pills in 1/4ths, 1/6ths, or 1/8ths if accurate, uniform cuts is what you're aiming for.
