The magnet has come loose from the bolt and is sticking to the outside of the oil pan. While this is indicative of the strength of the magnet, imagine if this happened in the oil pan threads or worse inside the oil pan. I would think before buying. It also seemed unusually difficult to thread by hand, and no, it wasn't criss-cross. So much so that I secured it and that's when the magnet came loose. Will I take the risk of using this product? No, from now on I'll stick with oil analysis to look for any unusual deposits. lesson learned
