Review on Collapsible BPA & PVC Free Hiking Water Bottle: Hydrapak Stash For Backpacking Adventure! by David Hodgson

Great option for an everyday bottle.

I am fairly good about drinking water throughout the day as long as I have a bottle near, but have always hated lugging around an empty bottle once I was done. I saw this on a trip to Yosemite and have been wanting it ever since. I love the idea of squishing it down and throwing it in my bag w/o taking up any space.First impression, I was worried about how flexible the material is, but I've taken it to the gym a couple of times and it's great. Filled, it doesn't spill and stands up like a normal bottle would. The lid and bottom are made of sturdy plastic since they snap into each other when folded down, but the middle is a sturdy, yet very flexible plastic. The lid also has a strap type thing to carry it. If it is not full, it will fold over slightly, but I haven't seen it totally flop over either. I had this in the fridge and once out, it will sweat a bit.You will need both hands to hold the bottle and drink so if you are thinking of bike riding or something like that where you need to maneuver the bike and the bottle, this isn't for you, but for a hike or around town, you'll be perfectly fine. Keep in mind, this will not fit a standard cup holder in the car, since the base is slightly larger.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • May be hard to grip when wet
