We had to use a grout saw to clean out the spaces between tiles when it was time to add the grout.We used unsanded grout. You have to. Ow, you'll have more trouble making the grout depth as narrow as it needs to be.I wiped at the grout endlessly but still ended up with grout residue that had to be removed. Using old credit cards to scrape it off helped. They won't scratch the tiles. But even with that, I needed to use my thumbnail to scrape more of the grout off the tiles. It collects in all the little uneven places/crevices on the tile surface.I'm still scraping off grout after I thought I was done and started to coat the tiles with a gloss sealer. The sealer made the grout show up better in places where it still had to be scraped off the tiles. Really an endless, difficult job.The reward is how beautiful they look after you've put them up. We have them on our kitchen backsplash. We used white caulk to fill in the edges. It was another very difficult task; hard to get the caulk line thin enough without sacrificing its function of sealing the joint between bottom tile edge and countertop.We're using an acrylic emulsion to seal it all, tiles and grout. We also mixed sealer in with the grout. Very hard work if you want it to look good.
