I have never used these, I immediately noticed a slight difficulty in preventing the internal part from rotating when tightening the nut. This isn't as much of a problem with SO-259 connectors, which have a zigzag cut at the end, as there are plenty of places for the tabs to snap and the connector to be fully seated. The type that only has 2 or 4 slots requires you to hold the center piece and prevent it from moving while you tighten it. There is nothing to catch outside, everything is spinning there.
