Useful tool but requires modification to work properly

The first thing I want to say about this tool is that the price doesn't make sense when you consider the quality you get. It's a thick piece of cast steel that works well as a pry bar, but it's not well made. First the rust inside the block right out of the box. I took a photo to demonstrate. Next you will need a 1/2 pry bar as 3/8" won't fit until you bring your sanding tool to the square to pry it open a bit. It's ok but give me a break. Almost $50 for this thing? It's too much and Keyfit Tools should be ashamed of this level of quality. For $20 I wouldn't complain but that's a steal for a pretty cheap looking product with rust on the inside and my tool doesn't even fit into one of the two slots provided. To be fair all product photos only show the 1/2" tool and I don't see any advertising that it will work with the 3/8" tool so I'm still giving it an average rating. To be fair, if you really want a lot of leverage for this, you need a long tool. I have a 30" bar with a 1/2" socket, and this tool really helps with it Need for hex wrenches, open-end wrenches and to attach various other tools. Since this device is "super compact" and "short", I don't know. It's small, but it definitely needs some room to work with, but it's no bigger than a long power socket used to unscrew a nut. Let's see if it breaks. It doesn't look very strong, but I couldn't damage it in testing, so it's probably stronger than I think. I'm not sure why that second hole is there if it's not for a 3/8 drive tool, but I tweaked it a bit and it works now in case I want to use it in the future. I've mostly used it with my long 1/2" drive breaker and it fits well and is nice to have in my tool box when I need a little extra help loosening a stubborn screw or something that's tightened higher than mine is. power tools. get along.
