They fit great and are a decent thickness. I installed it on an ACDELCO 45H0242 replacement spring for my 2004 Silverado LS RWD. The old ones didn't crack, but the rubber was very strong and held the shape of the top of the spring. I wouldn't want to disassemble the suspension in the future just to replace that piece of rubber. If you're there and he's 13, just replace him.
