macOS Big Sur 11.3.1 or 11.4 does not work with 30 " Cinema Display

This adapter does not work for me with two computers running Big Sur Reviewers in 2018 and 2019 reported success with earlier versions of the operating system It must Big Sur's fault I know the monitor and display adapter work fine because I've used them for years with my iMac (27" Mid 2011) running 10.13.6. MONITOR: Cinema Display (30" DVI, Late 2005) (M9179LL/A).DVI-to-MDP: Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter (Model A1306) upgraded to iMac (Retina 5K, 27", 2020 ) is running Big Sur 11.4. See photo for an example of an unusable video ad. MacBook Pro 13" 2017 Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports. Same result. Sometimes you could miss the cinema display. Sometimes the power light would come on and then turn off (and turn on) again. WIRED CONNECTION:+ MDP and USB display cable. connected to a dual-link DVI adapter.+ The DVI adapter's MDP cable connects to the Amiroko adapter (this product), which has been connected to the USB-C port on the iMac+. The USB cable of the DVI adapter connects to the following alternatives:++ (iMac) USB Type A port++ (iMac) USB Type A port on external USB hub (connected to iMac Type A port)++ (iMac) USB Type A to USB C adapter to USB C++ port (MacBook Pro) as above, there are no Type A connections

Pros
  • Compatible monitors: Apple Cinema Display compatible, e.g. 24" (MB382LL/A), 27" (MC007LL/A), 30" (M9179LL)/A, requires official Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter), pre-2011 iMac with Mini DisplayPort, etc. (Note: Apple 27" MC914LL/B Thunderbolt Display is NOT supported). Work with other brand monitors with Mini DisplayPort/Displayport
Cons
  • It was possible to select a newer model
