Either I didn't clean the spot well enough or the wire was pressing against it.

good thing it didn't stick to my dash for long but it might be my fault the one that came before with the home kit took me a year to move. Either I didn't clean the area well enough, or the wire was pressing on it so it wasn't sticking well enough.
