The material is nice and soft. I ordered a size 8 for an 8 year old boy who normally wears a size 7/8 and was a little small. He wanted to wear it so badly that I kept it, but if I were to order again I would order a size up. The pants were barely long enough and not loose enough. The length of the shirt from shoulder seam to hem was 17.5 inches. The shirt barely reached the waistband of the pants.
