Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Dorman 800-041 Fuel Line Clip 2 Pack for Specific Models by Wei Fan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits perfectly. The clip description needs to be updated. There are 2 clips in the pack.

I broke 2 fuel clamps while replacing the fuel pump on my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. When I took the intact clip to Autozone, O'Reily's and then Pep Boys all 3 said they couldn't find it on their computers and that it was just a dealer part (I'm so glad all 3 of these replacement parts were close together when they decide to waste my time). I went to one of the local Chevy dealers and was told that the only way to get the clamps was to buy the entire fuel line assembly. I walked out of the dealership shaking my head and told a friend who was helping replace the fuel pump that he decided to go to landfills to look for clips. While he was scouring the recycling yards, I decided to search the internet for information and found a clip for Revain. Slightly surprised by the price of the clip, I ordered two clips through Revain with first class shipping. When the clips arrived a few days later, to my surprise there were 2 clips in the package even though it doesn't say so in the product description and it turns out you pay around $8 for 1 clip? The extra clips came in handy as I broke two more clips when we had to remove the fuel tank again due to an air leak. I took the part number shown by Revain and was able to find these clips on the Autozone website for $2 more than Revain and the next day an Autozone employee said it would take 3 to 5 days to receive the clips would after they ordered them for me just like the main delivery I would have received them in about 2 days and at a lower price.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Good but not great
