No mesh, all leather.
I thought the white pieces were a grid. No, it's all leather. Ok if that's what you want, but not my cup of Java. I don't remember reading this in the product description and it's not evident in the photos. Also, the shoes are comfortable. Bright and noisy, but VERY cosy.
