This is the first time I've replaced a cabin filter myself. I wasn't sure which filter to buy and there seems to be a lot of opinion as to which is better. I finally settled on this one because I trust the Fram brand and thought the "carbon/baking soda technology" sounded like a worthy try. For the first time in 5 years of car ownership I changed the filter for the first time. Even with the windows open and the air conditioning or heating on, I could see a swarm of dust floating everywhere. But a few days after installation, the dust I could see was almost gone. Also, to my surprise, the air even smelled fresh/clean. I don't know if it has to do with the charcoal/baking soda used or if the old filter was so bad it introduced a lot of smells, but this filter definitely made a big difference. Unfortunately I don't have it. The quality can be compared to other brands, but I am more than satisfied with the results and plan to continue replacing with this one.
