Review on Universal Switch Rocker for Driving with Enhanced JIANFA Functionality by Jason Melvin

I bought this to control two sets of LED high beam headlights at the same time. I liked that I could install it without drilling holes in the car and I could install it in the position with the switch facing me so I had a visual indicator (red LED) in the car to indicate that the switch was on. or "Off". I hooked this up to a relay and hooked up two internal fuses so the light couldn't come on unless the ignition was on. I have added many accessories to cars over the years so installation was very easy. The switch seems to be of decent quality, it's easy to assemble and the switch itself works very well. However, the red LED in the switch turns on and off by itself when the switch is in the "on" position, which it shouldn't, so I kept playing around with it to see what position the switch was actually in . a simple mistake basically defeated the whole purpose of purchasing this particular switch. As the switch found in the case is itself a general purpose switch and I already have several such switches (previously bought from Revain for other applications where I drilled the mounting surface) I will try to pull the switch and replace it with another one, which should solve the problem. I've had issues with some of these generic switches breaking after years of use, and some didn't even work to begin with, so I usually buy lots of them for just a few bucks. But it's really annoying when you have to redo the under-dash switch because of an inferior product.
