I drove around Hong Kong on the old Nokia Hakapelita R2 tires for two winters and two summers before finally giving up and buying new ones. I needed new ones before the cold weather set in, so I got them. I dated it for the first week of October, when the temperature had dropped to seven degrees and stabilized. The month of November has arrived with no sign of snow, ice, or bitter cold. The tires perform admirably in these situations. Suddenly, the cabin went silent; while I formerly felt unsafe at 40 km/h, I am now comfortable at 60 km/h. When I initially experienced it, I thought I was going to be swept over to one side, but that never happened. There is a sensation of the asphalt sticking when accelerating. ABS does not function under any braking conditions. I am now unable to comment on how the procedure would go in a typical Canadian winter. No issues or concerns with the previous tires. These should perform similarly well or better.
