I've had a regular wooden rolling pin for 38 years and I never knew how thick I rolled it out. I didn't really have any problems until last week. I rolled out the dough for donuts, they were too thin. My Stuffed Donuts Failed! I saw this pen with different rings for different thicknesses and had to buy it. Haven't actually used it yet, but I did take it apart to clean it and put some mineral oil on the pen itself. I'm hoping to try it on another batch of cream donuts this week. The only negative comment I have is that as far as I can tell since I haven't tried it yet you can't mix and match rings to make different thicknesses. That being said, I think it looks like a sturdy, good value WHY I've never bought this rolling pin before.
