2 colors (822 and 824, both gold tones) were hard as stone and impossible to even apply pigment to their surface. After I pulled the pastel crayon out of the sponge in the case, there was still some pastel powder left. So I'm going to treat these beautiful pastels (that "work") very carefully and place them where I can create plenty of space around them so they can be included as seamlessly as possible. Too bad for my golden shades. Living abroad and sending everything through the mail doesn't really encourage returning items or replacing two pastels at the colossal price it takes to ship to the Caribbean.
