Review on Milton S 693 Straight Foot Chuck by Marlin Atonyo

Nowhere in the product description does it indicate that this is a locking pneumatic chuck. This cartridge is excellent for tires with high air volume or high pressure. However, it can be difficult to quickly disconnect the cartridge from the tire valve. The ability to release quickly is critical when adding air to very small tires such as wheelbarrows or lightweight tractor tires. Delaying the removal of these tires can result in significant tire pressure or even tire blowout. I already had a Milton airlock chuck and thought I'd order one that doesn't have the ribs on the base to lock the chuck onto the valve threads. Milton products are top notch, but the lack of information in the product description identifying it as an air-sealing chuck is a major oversight.
