Review on RS5185 Rancho RS5000 Series Performance Shock by Aaron Ayo

This is the third brand of damper I have tried on my 95 Explorer Sport. They all feel underdamped and have more body movement through corners and bumps than I would like. One feature that contributed to the early replacement of the Monroe SensaTracs that preceded these is that I had a 1" body lift and wanted a damper that would allow a few inches more clearance between the mounts (body lift + slightly higher springs) . the need for a "raised truck" design. The Rancho is good at listing the shock and offers more coverage than stock. While I'm somewhat negative about the damping of these shocks (which I suspect may be intentional), will i mention that i was pleased with the long ranchos on my car crushing monster van.
