This really is a lifesaver. I have quite a large setup in my home office - a computer, two monitors, two external hard drives, speakers, a printer, etc. I eventually ran out of USB ports on my computer. This hub worked right out of the box. There are no drivers. Truly plug and play. I plugged it into a USB port on my computer (windows 10), waited about 5 seconds and all devices worked. I suggest using an extra power adapter if you can avoid overloading your computer's USB port. I have two external hard drives and my printer connected to a hub and it works fine with the power adapter. Highly recommended. USEFUL ADVICE. Some browsers report that one or more ports on the USB hub are no longer working. First, make sure your computer is awake and you're logged in before plugging in the hub. If the USB hub does not work after waking the computer from sleep mode, Windows has probably automatically disabled the USB root hub to save power. To prevent this: Go to the Control Panel. Click Hardware and Sound, and then click Power Options. Click Change plan settings for the plan you want to change. Click Change advanced power settings. Click the plus sign (+) next to USB settings and USB selective suspend setting to expand the options and change the setting to Disabled. Click OK to apply the setting.
