Haven't found a real leak yet, but beeps on two sensors with some water. I solved a washing machine installation issue noticed by other reviewers and wanted to post it to help future buyers avoid disappointment. If you just throw a washer in the hole, put it on top of the battery cover and try to screw in the screws, then nothing will work. The screw just bounces on the puck. Follow the steps below for easy installation. First insert the batteries, wet your fingertips and touch BOTH sensors at the same time. If it beeps, go to the next step. If it doesn't beep, try other batteries. Mine was dead, but new batteries brought us back to life. Now toss those tiny washers, screws, and anchors in a small bowl so they don't roll away. Then turn the battery cover over so you are looking at the inside of the battery door. Insert a screw into the screw hole from below, facing the bottom of the screw, hold it in place by pressing down on it with a finger - place a washer as high on the screw as possible. It's tight and requires little side-to-side pressure. Repeat this process for the second screw. The washers now hold the screws in place. Turn the dough door over, align the rounded tab, and install the screws, turning each one a few turns. You're screwing in a threaded metal rod, so carefully align the screw with the shaft, then tighten halfway. Repeat with the other screw. After both are snapped into place and screwed about halfway in, tighten one, then the other. Check the sensors again with wet fingers to be sure. Now the plugs for the screw holes that hold the pup together. I used a pin with the tip pointing up, so I just had a nice round pin that was just a little smaller than the screw hole. Insert the small plug into the hole (flat side up) with your finger and push until it is flush with the surface of the device, then push a little further with the pen (remember that the pen tip is not sticking out , just a round of plastic). Your pup (or bug) is ready to go. We are planning to buy a second one and put it in our RV. . I changed the batteries and everything works great. I don't see this as a reason to downgrade the stars as the product works as advertised but it's annoying. I've been looking for another way to provide this information to the seller, but the feedback has ended. There was no product support for this product. The lick bug is also very cute and very loud. So check your batteries before you turn everything off. Just insert the batteries, wet two fingers and touch the two sensors. If that doesn't work, try new batteries. We were two for two.
