The scraper system is not good! Once installed, it eliminates the suction process that most people think is meant to "suck water off the floor," right? Wrong, once this is set your expensive super-duper shop vacuum that has tamed hundreds of pounds of shop shavings for years will now tremble and eventually give up removing even the slightest amount of water from the floor. I removed and threw away the inner squeegee assembly and now I grind the burrs on each end of the nozzle so I don't waste money. By looping the tabs on each end (they keep the nozzle about 1/4 inch off the ground on each end, reducing vacuum suction) so it lies flat or at any angle you like when you're vacuuming water. If you want, the vacuum cleaner can suck up tiles straight from the floor, not to mention that when cleaning dirt I only adjust the angle of the nozzle, I control the suction power and not vice versa . Really bad design!
