I love these curtains! We have a navy blue accent wall in our entertainment room that I wanted to complement with a duller teal on the curtains. I didn't want anything too bright, plus I needed something very long from ceiling to floor. (96-102 inches) These curtains were perfect! I love her! We have walls of full windows next to a sliding door that lets in too much sun and heat (we are in Phx AZ). And it's in our TV room where we have our big TV. Windows and sunlight, even with blinds, reflect the TV screen all day and warm the lower floor. These curtains were a great solution! They darken our living room and kitchen so much that my husband can now take a nap on our couch and it cools down much quicker (no thanks to our air conditioning). But these curtains have a thick and strong blackout effect, which is more than beautiful! I had to iron them when I took them out of my bag. From my photos you can see that I did not iron a set of curtains. But I wanted them fast! Also, last time I checked, you didn't use curtains for sleeping, so "softness" doesn't matter. They are somewhat textured and have a rough feel, but nothing more than a standard padded tablecloth or chair. If I could afford it I would cover the entire lower floor with it and the long corridor upstairs which has as many windows looking in the same direction but without a terrace to cover them. !
