Review on Enhance Range and Reception with Rugged Radios DB-5R Dual Band Antenna for V3, RH5R, and RDH Handheld Radios by Nick Ross

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Impressive sign!

I purchased the V3 direct from Rugged with an extended battery, long range antenna and external microphone. I'm an avid snowmobiler and not entirely happy with what BCA is offering with their Link radios. *Please note that without pre-programming, Rugged V3 radios are not compatible with the standard channels on these radios. I used V3 with this antenna. We were in a remote area at least 5 miles from the nearest ski area. All day I picked up the chatter of the families at the resort on normal frequencies. My riding friends didn't have a walkie-talkie. This antenna has a long range! I have to use some of the less common channels now, but I advise my buddies to get this radio and antenna for the best connection in British Columbia. Recommend this antenna with V3.
