it fell off after 1 week

Used to cover a discontinued ceiling box. Installed on a freshly plastered and painted ceiling (I waited a week to make sure the ceiling had "cured" to install it). Unlike a few users, I had no problem peeling the tape off the adhesive backing - but be careful! It climbed up easily enough and covered the 4 inch hole well. I waited 48 hours after installation and then painted it (the paint peeled well). A week later I found it on the floor (sticky side down, of course). Not happy paying $$$ for the blanket. I'll post pics once I figure out how to leave it. Ready for suggestions.
