I've tried different phone hotspots, connected to my internal router from the driveway, sometimes the speed would jump up and then drop back to less than 1Mbps, everything else works fine, the sound quality is great when Power amp is used. You may need to get creative with the installation and I'm sure some stores don't even want to take on that task. If you're using a freshly rebooted head unit then everything is fine as it uses a direct connection to your phone, but the Wi-Fi issue was too severe. RETURNED. I bought another one from a different seller and had the same WiFi issue, must be a hardware issue.
